V-Day and more.....

Thursday was Valentine's Day and it was great! I made a fabulous meal (well, for me LOL). We had bacon wrapped filet mignon with a cracked pepper cream sauce, tomato and mozzarella salad, sauteed vegetable medley and cheesecake. I just bought the cheesecake since I figured it was okay to cheat on one thing, since everything else I made from scratch! We DO NOT go out to eat on V-day and I always spend way too much time making a nice dinner.

The kids and Aaron have Valentine's boxes that I made for them, and everyday from the 1-14 there are special treats or fun activities inside, which the kids LOVE! I try hard to make it fun for them, because we love them too! For their V-Day dinner, they got pizza and sparkling apple cider. And a piece of chocolate cake that I wrote their names on in red sparkly frosting. And they got a box of candy in their boxes. So they feel special too!

I won't say anymore about V-Day, but Aaron did very good in the part that really matters to me. You know, meaningful and sincere..... That's all I care about! :D He love me, what can I say? Except for I love him too!

Friday Raegan didn't have school, yeah! So we stayed home ALL DAY and we had friends over to decorate cookies, eat lunch, and of course, the moms and I just chatted. It was fun, but the house was crazy with 4 mommys and 11 little kids! Raegan was the oldest at 6, the youngest was a few months old. Just picture that in your heads.... CRAZY, but it was fun, I love the busyness of it!

Last night Gavin was so weird at bedtime, screaming and kept wanting his water cup, but it is a new straw one I got him and it won't work half the time, then he'd get pissed and scream some more. Finally fell asleep, only to wake up an hour later and start it all over again! Aaron and I were trying to go to bed, but I couldn't stand it so I just got up and lay with him until he fell asleep. Poor baby.

Today I am getting my nails done, yeah! I have to do some work and get all my shows squared away, I am coming up on being very BUSY! I have 2 shows this week, both on Saturday, 2 next week, and two the following week. And then I will probably book a few more for March by then. And in April I already have 7 shows booked! Yes, SEVEN!!!! That is crazy, but it is good!

And we are going to the park today as it should be nice-ish today?? We have crazy weather here. On Wednesday, it was 68 degrees, that is like summer compared to what it has been. I saw kids playing outside in shorts and t-shirts. And then 24 hours later, the high was 28 and it was snowing like crazy. That's Colorado for you. This Arizonan just cannot wrap her little brain around it! And we have been here for almost 4 years........ No wonder my in-laws used to always ask about the weather when they called us in AZ..... We don't talk about the weather except to say that it's hot, I guess.....but here the weather is ever-changing.

Well I need to jump in the shower and get the kids in the bath too! We will take the camera to the park and post more pics later on! Raegan lost ANOTHER tooth last night, so be prepared for even more hole-age! My baby girl is growing up way too fast!

Finally some pictures!

We are a very busy little family! Aaron is working 12 hour days (at least!), I'm having shows, Aaron is playing "mommy" while I have shows, Raegan has piano, homework and school projects, and the boys are keeping busy destroying the house in the meantime! Plus I had to teach in Relief Society yesterday (my calling) and it was hard. The JS manual is just hard. I taught #3 and well, blah...... That's all I'll say! That and I am too YOUNG for this calling! LOL It makes me feel OLD! :D

But we did manage to take the kids to the park.....it was kind of warm...for February in Colorado, I guess. 45-50 degrees? Maybe?

It's better than nothing..

So Anita, my cousin, was here visiting this last weekend. She came on Thursday and then we went and stole Raegan from school and went to Pizza Hut. The kids wanted pizza, and lucky us, we were in time for the buffet. barf. But oh well... Friday we went to the rec center and did some exercising and Anita went to what I think was her first gym class. Lots of squats, we were both moaning the rest of the weekend. LOL Then we took the boys to the pool for a bit! Anita's blind date worked out so the two of us went shopping and picked out a cute outfit, then I did her makeup and hair! She looked so pretty! I loaned her some jewelry, and they were off. She had a really fun time with him, but as far as I know that was all so far.

Saturday was my sister in law's baby shower. And then we had dinner and ice cream for my father in law's birthday.

Sunday we went to church and then we had to take Anita to the airport! It was sad, it was a lot of fun....if I could afford her I'd hire her as my personal assistant/babysitter. LOL She is a NICU nurse though, so that won't happen.

I don't think we took a single picture of Anita's visit. Oh well. I suck at taking pictures lately. I will post some of the kids soon....I think I've said that before.

The thing that sucks about a public blog is that there are certain thoughts or feelings about certain situations and you can't write about them! Not unless you want it to bite you back HARD. Oh well, writing something about our lives is better than writing about nothing.

I'm an aunt!

So my younger sister, Diomadis was pregnant with a baby girl as well as my brother and his wife adopting a baby girl. Yesterday, at 4:30PM, Diomadis gave birth to her baby girl, Sofia. She was about 7 1/2 lbs. And then at 4:45PM, the birth mother had my brother David and sil Alicia's baby girl, Joy. She is tiny, at 5lbs 4oz. So I have two new nieces born 15 minutes apart! I can't wait to see my brown little nieces. (Diomadis is Venezuelan and her husband is Mexican, and Joy's birth parents are African American) I love brown babies! Congratulations to everyone!!!!

I forgot....

My brother and his wife Alicia are going to be parents! Their baby girl is supposed to be born tomorrow (they're adopting) so I am hoping and praying that everything goes well, I will update when I hear something!

Finally!

Okay, I am finally going to start updating this blog! Aaron set up the account and I forgot the password he chose (and he is sleeping) so it took awhile but here I am!

Let's see, what is up with us? Ummm....I have bangs now.... On Friday night, I was watching some dumb show on TV and I really liked this girl's hair, and she had bangs, so I decided I just had to cut my own bangs, and I did! I will have to take a picture and post it for all the AZ people. I haven't had real bangs since before Raegan was born.

Saturday night Aaron and I went to a work party of his.... BLECH...... It wasn't very fun for either of us. We slept in very late on Sunday though, since Aaron's parents had the kids for the night! Grandma and grandpa took them to the stock show (and I had to have it explained to me that it was "livestock"...duh.) That makes 3 weeks in a row that we haven't been to church because of Aaron's b-day, then I was in AZ, and then this. I can feel it. It's nice to be looking forward to going to church, as sometimes I just don't so much...

Monday, we took the kids to the new library and rec center. Raegan got her first library card ever! Very exciting.

Yesterday Keaton was the helper of the day at school, which is about his favorite thing ever, and it means that it was a GREAT day at school! He is talking so well these days....Aaron and I have high hopes that he will eventually catch up. He is a smart kid, despite his speech/social delays. He is starting to read and sound out words...the trick is trying to get him to when he isn't interested. You just cannot make or threaten that kid into anything! Dinner is a nightmare, I don't think he's eaten any dinner this entire week...not since pizza at Grandma's house.

Gavin on the other hand.....sometimes he is picky, but the other night I made salmon and asparagus for Aaron and I, and he ate about half of Aaron's plate of food! How many 2 year olds will eat salmon or asparagus? He is a talker, too, let me tell you....no speech delays there! And soooo bossy and full of attitude.

And there is Raegan....I miss her at school, but I am also too busy to miss her, if that makes sense. I can't wait for summer when we can just hang out a bit at home, and go to the pool. She is growing up way too fast and losing teeth left and right. I definitely feel time slipping away the fastest with her. :( I don't have the time to spend enough time with her as we get home from school at 4:15 and bedtime is 7:00. That leaves 2 hours and 45 minutes for a snack, piano practice, some homework, I have to make dinner and am usually cleaning something up too, eat dinner, try and read a few books, and then that's it, bedtime! Aaron and I want to put her in soccer in March, which would be so fun for her, but with practices 2 days a week plus games (thankfully on Saturday!)....I just don't know how we will fit it all in!

I had jewelry show tonight, and made a grand total of $9.50! WOOT! LOL Well, after my expenses, it was more like -$6.00. So that is officially my worst show so far, and will probably be the worst ever....I hope. Even then, my hostess got 4 items for half price and $62 in free jewelry...so she made out better than me! Just think how much more free jewelry she could have had if she'd worked a little harder at getting people to show up! Hopefully I will have a few sales trickle in from some people that couldn't make it, at least to bring me on the + side. But, whatever...... It was a fun girl's night out and it only cost me $6.00. How's that for positive thinking? I've decided to be positive no matter what, I mean, we don't HAVE TO HAVE the money I make from shows, so I'm just going to learn from this and do better and move on! I have 1 show next week, 4 so far in Feb, 1 in March and 3 in April, and those numbers will only go UP!

Tomorrow my cousin Anita is coming for 4 days. We don't have anything too exciting planned. My SIL Jane's baby shower is on Saturday and then we're having dinner with Aaron's family afterwards. If it works out she'll have a blind date with my friend's brother. And that's pretty much it!

Well it is really late, so I'm off to do some chores and then bed! I will take some new pictures of the kids and load them soon.....
