So BUSY!
So what else is new? Today was no exception...got kids to school, cleaned my house, prepared for a show, held a show 50 mintues away, went birthday shopping, tried to plan a party by phone with the aunts, worked on getting ready to leave for AZ in 3 days. ......oh I made chocolate dipped pretzel rods with sprinkles for Raegan's class tomorrow....at 11PM tonight, for her birthday treat. (the teacher doesn't like cupcakes or cookies...too many crumbs she says) emailed people, called people....etc....it goes on. I'm totally exhausted and I have to be up in less than 6 hours! I think I'm going to bed.....goodnight!

Happy Birthday to Keaton!
We had a great day with Keaton yesterday, celebrating his 5th birthday! I took him to school and he got to wear a birthday crown that his teachers made him. I kid you not, this is like the highlight of his entire birthday. Last year he got one too and wore it for a few weeks before we hid it in his special things box. And this year when we'd tell him about his birthday, he almost always first mentioned wearing a crown. LOL So that was very exciting.
We brought cupcakes to share for snack time and Gavin got to sit next to big brother, which was fun for him. Then after school, we picked Raegan up early and went home to wait for Dad, because we were going to ChuckECheese's! My kids think that it's the funnest place in the world. We burned through 200 tokens and actually got a lot of ticket! (okay, I admit it, I cheated when Aaron was playing ski ball and put 4 balls in the 100,000 buckets. Oooohh I am sooo bad!)
So Keaton got the biggest prize, because it was his birthday; a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figure. Woo hoo. Will those turtles ever go away? Apparantly not. So then we had to run some errands and take Raegan to piano (which is why we had to do this all early) and I wrapped presents. Then daddy brought home pizza and cake (there's a funny story about the cake....but it might be too "fresh" in someone's mind for me to start telling it right now.....) and we had dinner, cake and ice cream and presents! Keaton got 2 games, underwear, sand toys, a real fishing pole and a REAL bicycle! (He's been riding Gavin's trike or baby bike so it was time for his own.) I actually felt really guilty. We usually buy WAY more stuff, but I am trying to realize that the kids do not need more stuff and that it isn't going to make them feel more loved if they get 5 presents or 20. What is important are the times we spend together and the memories we create, right?? Right.....
So yeah, the birthday was a big success, I think! Happy birthday, Keaton, we LOVE YOU!

I told him it was a sad birthday and he didn't like that and immediately cheered up.

woo hoo
I finally asked Aaron what the password was for this blog! (it's under his gmail account...he told me before but I forgot!) So now I can finally update it....but not now, I'm tired and I'm going to bed. Aaron and I just got back from the Colorado state Boy's basketball championship games, and then dinner. Thank goodness for date night!
